<p>The <strong>Great Ball League</strong> is the entry tier of the 2026-27 Pokémon Asia Championship Series, run by The Pokémon Company. Season 1 runs across <strong>September and October 2026</strong>.</p> <p><strong>This is a season window, not a single gathering.</strong> Great Ball League events run at many locations, notably Pokémon TCG GYM stores, on their own dates. The Pokémon Company has not published a per-store schedule — find the event nearest you on the official Trainers site.</p> <h3>Participation</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Division:</strong> All Ages (one open division)</li> <li><strong>Fee:</strong> PHP 500, which includes a TCG booster pack as a participation prize</li> <li><strong>Registration:</strong> in advance through the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers website. Walk-ins are accepted when registered players do not show up.</li> </ul> <h3>Format</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Standard format.</strong> Newly released cards become legal two weeks after release.</li> <li>Swiss rounds, 25 minutes per match.</li> </ul> <h3>Prizes and League Points</h3> <ul> <li>Every participant receives a promo card; top finishers earn additional promos.</li> <li>League Points are awarded by final placement (3 to 20 points depending on tournament size and ranking).</li> <li>Strong finishes can earn <strong>priority registration for an Ultra Ball League event</strong>.</li> </ul> <h3>Eligibility</h3> <p>Only residents of the Philippines may participate.</p> <p>Seasons 2 and 3 have not been announced yet.
